Are fat burners safe, and is a fat burner pill the same as a drug?
Fat burners cannot be called safe for everyone, and a fat burner pill is a supplement, not a tested drug.
FDA does not approve supplements before they reach shelves, and it warns that they carry risks (FDA 101 supplements). Risk comes from the stimulant dose, the extracts and the person: a healthy adult and someone with a heart rhythm problem are not in the same position.

No source says daily use is safe for everyone. Safety depends on the caffeine total, the extracts and your health. The SodaSlim label directs one capsule daily and says not to exceed the dose; ask a clinician if you take any medicine.
Can fat burners damage the liver?
Reports exist. NIH's LiverTox links green tea extract and garcinia products to acute liver injury, and a 2025 review counted more than 200 garcinia liver events. Causes are not proven for any one product. Dark urine or yellow skin or eyes means stop and get care.
Is a fat burner safe if I already drink coffee?
