How we write about SodaSlim: sources, medical review and supplement review standards
Our supplement review standards are short. The label wins over any sales copy, each number comes from the label or a cited source with its arithmetic, and every study is reported with who, dose, time and result. We say no trial tested SodaSlim. The medical reviewer slot is empty, so no page claims a clinician check.

How we write
How do we write about SodaSlim?
We write from the label first, then from published research, and we leave out anything that neither supports.
The SodaSlim label wrap is the primary source for what is in the capsule: five rows, an amount in milligrams for each, one capsule a day and a caution line. The seller's sales copy is a secondary source. Where the two differ, the label wins. Where the copy makes a claim that no source backs, we either quote it as the seller's wording or leave it out.
The pages come from the SodaSlim label desk, a writing team and not a person. We write for adults reading about a supplement at home, at about a seventh or eighth grade level, with short sentences and small sums shown in full.

Numbers
How do we check numbers and studies?
Each number on a page must trace to the label or to a named source, and we show the arithmetic.
Take the green coffee row. The label prints 130 mg at 50% chlorogenic acids, so we write about 65 mg (130 x 50%). The five rows add up to 658 mg (4 x 130 + 138). The caffeine row is 138 mg, and we write "at least 138 mg" because the coffee row's own caffeine is not stated.
A study is never reduced to one headline. We give the people, the dose, the length and the result. A 2020 meta-analysis of 15 trials with 897 people found a 1.23 kg difference with green coffee extract, and its authors saw no dose-response with chlorogenic acid (Asbaghi 2020, green coffee meta). After each such line we add that no trial tested SodaSlim.
| Source type | What we use it for | What we do not claim from it |
|---|---|---|
| The label | Amounts, directions, cautions | Who tested the percentages |
| Trials and reviews | What single ingredients did in named groups | What SodaSlim does |
| FDA, FTC, NIH | Rules, reference limits, warnings | Approval of the product |
| Seller pages | Pack sizes, how to order | Prices, guarantee days, ratings |
Claim wording
What claims do we refuse to make?
We never say that SodaSlim causes weight loss. We also never say it burns fat or boosts metabolism, because no source shows that for this capsule.
The label lines "Metabolic & Appetite Support*" and “Helps Support Healthy Weight Management*” appear only in quotation marks, as the seller's wording. The star leads to the FDA statement that these claims have not been evaluated. The FDA allows a supplement to describe an effect on normal body structure or function with that statement, and a disease claim would make the product a drug (FDA structure/function claims).
- No promise of pounds, days or kilograms for a reader
- No "clinically proven", "doctor recommended" or "FDA approved"
- No before-and-after photos and no invented testimonials
- No claim that a total of caffeine is "safe"
- No advice to stop or change a prescribed medicine
These match the FTC's list of false promises in weight-loss ads (FTC, Truth Behind Weight Loss Ads). Our guide to reading weight-loss ads shows how to spot them elsewhere.
Medical review
What does medical review mean, and is it done here?
Medical review means a qualified clinician reads a page for accuracy and signs off by name. It is not yet done on this site.
The build prints a reviewer slot on health pages. That slot is open. We name no one and use no phrase such as "doctor reviewed" until a real clinician has read the pages and agreed to be listed. A reviewer's job here would be narrow: confirm the medicine, pregnancy, heart and liver cautions, and confirm that no sentence promises a result.
Until a name appears, treat our pages as a plain-language reading of the label and the sources, not as medical advice. Ask your own doctor or pharmacist about your medicines. Keep taking prescribed medicine.
Pages built from the label, the seller's brief and linked NIH, FDA, CDC, FTC and peer-reviewed sources.

Evidence reading
How do we rate the evidence for each ingredient?
We give each label row an editor's reading, from weak to stronger, based on whether human studies support the label claim for that ingredient alone.
The needles below are a judgment, not a measurement, and they do not rate SodaSlim. They show how thin the human evidence is for each row, such as a 2011 review of three green coffee trials, all at high risk of bias (Onakpoya 2011, green coffee review), and a green tea analysis of weight change near -0.04 kg outside Japan (Jurgens 2012, Cochrane green tea). We found no human trial of raspberry ketone alone (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss).
Green coffee bean extract
Little28 of 100
A handful of small trials, many with bias concerns, with mixed results. (Onakpoya 2011, green coffee review) (Asbaghi 2020, green coffee meta)
Raspberry ketone
Very little8 of 100
Mostly lab and animal work; very few human trials of the ingredient itself. (Morimoto 2005, raspberry ketone mice) (Lopez 2013, multi-ingredient raspberry ketone)
Garcinia extract
Little18 of 100
A few small human trials with mixed results; reports of liver injury exist. (Onakpoya 2011, garcinia meta) (van Breemen 2025, garcinia liver)
Caffeine
Mixed40 of 100
Well studied for alertness; evidence for body-weight outcomes is limited and mixed. (Tabrizi 2019, caffeine and weight) (FDA, Spilling the Beans caffeine)
Green tea extract
Little30 of 100
Trials on body weight are small and mixed; liver-injury reports exist at high catechin doses. (Jurgens 2012, Cochrane green tea) (LiverTox, green tea)
Our reading of the sources, not a measurement. Each needle is an editor's judgment of how well human studies support the label claim for that one ingredient, at studied amounts. It does not rate SodaSlim: no study tested the capsule or this five-row combination.
Conflicts
How do money and conflicts of interest affect the pages?
The site is run by a retailer that earns money from orders, so it has a conflict of interest, and we state it on the about page and wherever an order button appears.
No one pays us to rank a product or to soften a caution. We print no price, discount, coupon or countdown, because those belong on the checkout. We show no star rating or customer percentage, and reviews appear only after they are matched to a real order, in line with the FTC rule on fake reviews (FTC fake reviews rule).
When a fact is missing, we write "we found no" and say what to do next. Missing facts today include the manufacturer's name, a lab report and the price at checkout.
Corrections
How do you report an error or ask for an update?
Email the website inbox with the page address and the sentence you doubt, and we will check it against the source.
The website inbox is [email protected], open Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET. It handles pages, typos, privacy and press. It cannot see orders, so send order questions to +1 (302) 200-3480 or [email protected]. If the correction is right, we change the page and update the date in the page footer. A change that affects safety, such as a new FDA warning, is made first.
Rules and research change, and so does the checkout. Pages carry an updated date, and we re-read the label and the cited sources whenever a source changes. To report a reaction to any supplement, use the FDA reporting route (FDA report a problem).

FAQ
Questions about our standards
What are your supplement review standards?
The label wins over sales copy, every number traces to the label or a named source, and studies are reported with who, dose, time and result. We state that no trial tested SodaSlim, quote marketing lines instead of repeating them, and name no unverified reviewer.
Who writes the SodaSlim pages?
The SodaSlim label desk, which is a writing team of the retailer that runs this site. No individual author or physician is named. The pages are written from the label and from sources we list, and the retailer earns money from orders.
Is there a medical review of these pages?
Not yet. The reviewer slot is open and we print no name. We will not write that a doctor or physician reviewed a page until a real clinician has read it and agreed to be listed by name.
Which sources do you use?
The label, FDA and FTC guidance, NIH and EFSA documents, and published trials and reviews of single ingredients. We list each one on the page that uses it. We do not use seller testimonials or social media posts as evidence.
Do you accept payment for reviews or rankings?
No one pays for a ranking or a softer caution. We do earn money when visitors order through our links, and we say so. We show no ratings, customer counts or quotes that are not matched to a real order.
How often are the pages updated?
Each page shows an updated date. We re-read the label and sources when a source changes or a reader reports an error. Prices, shipping and guarantee terms are not printed here, because the checkout is the current source.
