Frequently asked questions

SodaSlim questions: what Soda Slim is, who makes it, how to take it and where to buy

Quick answer

SodaSlim questions come down to a few facts. Soda Slim is a dietary supplement in 30 vegetable capsules, not a drink. Each capsule holds at least 138 mg of caffeine, and the label says to take one a day. The maker is not named, no trial tested the capsule, and orders go through the checkout at sodaslim.com.

The basics

What is Soda Slim, and who makes it?

SodaSlim, also typed Soda Slim, is a dietary supplement in vegetable capsules, 30 to a bottle. The word soda is in the name only.

These answers come from the label and the sources we list. Type a word in the box to filter every group at once.

What is Soda Slim?

Soda Slim is a dietary supplement sold as vegetable capsules, 30 to a bottle, with the front line "Metabolic & Appetite Support*". The star leads to the FDA statement that the claims have not been evaluated. It is a capsule and not a drink.

Is SodaSlim a soda or a drink?

No. It is a capsule with a hypromellose shell and holds no carbonation, liquid or sweetener. Soda is in the brand name only. This site covers the capsule sold by a USA retailer and no drink, can or other country's product.

Who makes Soda Slim?

The label does not say. It states "Manufactured in the USA with globally sourced ingredients" and names no factory. It names Gex Corporation LLP of Ogden, Utah as the distributor. We cannot give a maker's name that the label omits.

Who runs this website?

Sodaslimhealth, a "USA Authorized SodaSlim Retailer" in the seller's own words. It is not the maker. We earn money when visitors order through our links, which is why the pages put the label and the research first.

Who is SodaSlim for?

The label limits it to adults. It is not for anyone under 18 or pregnant or nursing, and it advises asking a physician first if you take a medicine or have a condition. Read the who should not take it guide.

Is SodaSlim a medicine?

No. It is sold as a dietary supplement. The FDA does not approve supplements for safety or effectiveness before sale (FDA 101 supplements). The label says it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The label

What is on the SodaSlim label?

The label prints five rows with an amount in milligrams for each, plus hypromellose as the capsule shell.

The five rows add up to 658 mg a capsule (4 x 130 + 138). The numbers below follow the printed panel (SodaSlim label).

The five label rows and the active part we can work out
Row (per capsule)Printed amountWorked out
Green coffee bean extract130 mgChlorogenic acids about 65 mg (130 x 50%)
Raspberry ketone130 mgNo percentage printed
Garcinia extract130 mgHCA about 65 mg (130 x 50%)
Caffeine anhydrous138 mgAt least 138 mg of caffeine
Green tea extract130 mgEGCG about 58 mg (130 x 45%)
What are the five rows on the label?

Per capsule: green coffee bean extract 130 mg, raspberry ketone 130 mg, garcinia extract 130 mg, caffeine anhydrous 138 mg and green tea extract 130 mg. The only other ingredient is hypromellose, the vegetable capsule shell.

Is there a proprietary blend?

No. Every row prints its own amount in milligrams, so nothing is hidden inside a blend. The label still does not say who tested the printed percentages, and it does not say whether the raspberry ketone is natural or synthetic.

How much chlorogenic acid is in a capsule?

About 65 mg. The green coffee row is 130 mg at 50% chlorogenic acids, and 130 x 50% = 65. The 2023 analysis we cite used 500 mg a day or more, so the label amount is about 13% of that.

How much HCA does the garcinia row hold?

About 65 mg (130 x 50%). A 1998 trial of 135 people used 1,500 mg of HCA for 12 weeks and found no difference from placebo (Heymsfield 1998, garcinia RCT). The label amount is about 4% of that dose.

How much EGCG is in the green tea row?

About 58 mg (130 x 45%). EFSA's 2018 opinion raised a concern for EGCG supplements at 800 mg a day (EFSA 2018, green tea catechins). The label amount is about 7% of that, or roughly one fourteenth.

What does the raspberry ketone row mean?

It is 130 mg with no percentage printed. We found no human trial of the ketone alone. NIH says raspberry ketone has been studied only in combination products, and research is insufficient (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss).

What does the double star on the label mean?

The ** after the Daily Value column means a Daily Value is not established for that row. It does not mean the amount is zero or unsafe. FDA's labeling guide explains the footnote (FDA supplement labeling guide).

Caffeine and safety

Is Soda Slim safe, and how much caffeine does it hold?

No source shows that SodaSlim is safe or unsafe for you, because no trial tested it, and each person's medicines and health differ.

What the label does say is that one capsule holds at least 138 mg of caffeine, and that it is not for anyone under 18 or pregnant or nursing. FDA's reference for healthy adults is 400 mg a day from all sources (FDA, Spilling the Beans caffeine). Keep taking prescribed medicine, and ask a doctor or pharmacist about interactions.

How much caffeine is in one capsule?

At least 138 mg, from the caffeine anhydrous row alone. The green tea row adds under 4 mg (130 mg x under 3%). The coffee row's own caffeine is not stated, so the true total may be higher and the label does not say.

Is 138 mg of caffeine a lot?

It is about a third of FDA's 400 mg a day reference for healthy adults (138 / 400 = 35%). It is about 70% of EFSA's 200 mg single-dose reference (EFSA, caffeine safe intakes). Coffee, tea and energy drinks count on top.

Can I take SodaSlim with coffee?

The label gives no instruction on coffee, and the capsule already holds at least 138 mg. Add your drinks to see where you land. The with coffee guide and the caffeine budget tool do the sums.

Has SodaSlim been linked to liver injury?

We found no report naming SodaSlim. NIH sources describe acute liver injury linked to some garcinia and green tea extract products (LiverTox, Garcinia cambogia) (LiverTox, green tea). Causes are not proven for this capsule. Stop and get care for dark urine or yellow skin.

Who should not take SodaSlim?

The label says not for under 18, pregnant or nursing people. People on medicines, or with heart, blood pressure, anxiety, sleep, liver, thyroid or diabetes concerns, or caffeine sensitivity, should ask a clinician first.

Can I take it while pregnant or nursing?

No. The label says not for use by pregnant or nursing mothers. ACOG's pregnancy reference is under 200 mg of caffeine a day (ACOG, caffeine in pregnancy), and one capsule holds at least 138 mg before any drink.

Does it interact with medicines?

It may. Caffeine and green tea extract can interact with medicines (NCCIH using supplements wisely). Ask your doctor or pharmacist before you start, and never stop or change a prescribed medicine on your own.

What side effects are possible?

Caffeine can cause jitters, a racing heart, poor sleep or stomach upset in some people. EFSA notes that 100 mg can affect sleep for some. Stop and get care for chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing. See side effects.

Get care

Chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing: call 911. Dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or belly pain means stop and get care.

Taking it

How do you take SodaSlim?

The label direction is one capsule daily, and it adds nothing about timing, food or water.

Anything beyond that line is a general habit, not a label instruction, so we mark it that way. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

How many capsules a day?

One. The label reads "As a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsule daily." It also says not to exceed the recommended dose. A bottle of 30 lasts 30 days at that rate.

What time of day should I take it?

The label does not say. It gives no direction on time, food or water. Because the capsule holds caffeine, many people avoid late hours, but that is a habit and not a label instruction.

Can I take two capsules for a faster result?

No. The label says not to exceed the recommended dose, and two capsules would hold at least 276 mg of caffeine (2 x 138). No source shows a faster result at any dose of this capsule.

What if I miss a day?

The label does not cover it. Do not double up to catch up, since that breaks the dose line. A 30-day tick calendar on the how to use page helps you track the days.

Where should I store the bottle?

In a cool, dry place below 30C (86F), as the label states. Keep it out of reach of children. Do not use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing.

Evidence

Does Soda Slim work, and what do studies say?

We found no trial of SodaSlim or of this five-row mix, so no one can say what the capsule does for weight or appetite.

Studies of single ingredients exist and are small, short and mixed. A 2020 meta-analysis of 15 green coffee trials with 897 people found a 1.23 kg difference (Asbaghi 2020, green coffee meta). A 2023 analysis of chlorogenic acid at 500 mg a day or more found 1.30 kg in 3 trials with 103 people (Kanchanasurakit 2023, chlorogenic acid). The label holds about 65 mg of chlorogenic acids, roughly 13% of 500 mg.

Does SodaSlim burn fat?

We found no trial that shows it does. The label line "Promotes Energy Production From Fat*" is a starred seller claim that the FDA has not evaluated. No study tested this capsule.

Is SodaSlim clinically proven?

No. We found no clinical trial of SodaSlim. The FTC expects health claims to rest on reliable scientific evidence (FTC health products guidance), and testimonials are not proof.

Is Soda Slim FDA approved?

No. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements. The label carries the FDA disclaimer, and a supplement may describe an effect on normal body structure or function but may not claim to treat a disease (FDA structure/function claims).

What do studies of the single ingredients show?

Small and mixed results. Green tea outside Japan showed about -0.04 kg, which authors called not likely clinically important (Jurgens 2012, Cochrane green tea). Garcinia showed -0.88 kg with an interval touching zero (Onakpoya 2011, garcinia meta). No trial tested SodaSlim.

Why did a green coffee trial get retracted?

A well-known green coffee trial was retracted in 2014 because its sponsors could not assure the data (Retraction notice, green coffee RCT). The FTC acted the same year over a green coffee extract ad that leaned on it.

Are weight-loss supplements ever tainted?

FDA warns that some weight-loss products have been found to hide drug ingredients (FDA, hidden ingredients in weight loss). We found nothing saying SodaSlim is one of them. Buy only from the seller's checkout, and check the seal.

Is there a coupon code?

We know of none and print none. Codes and discounts, if any, appear only at checkout. Be wary of a page that sells a code.

Does SodaSlim have verified reviews?

Not yet. We show none until a review is matched to a real order. The FTC bans fake and paid reviews (FTC fake reviews rule), so treat star counts on other pages with care.

What does the lot number mean?

SS-26/SO-2428 and the reference SS-2428-26-SO are seller references, not lab proof. No lab report is published. See batch verify for what to check on your bottle.

Refunds and this site

How do refunds, contact and this website work?

Refunds start with a call to the order desk, and the website inbox cannot see orders.

The seller's brief gives the refund steps, and the exact terms are those printed at checkout. Contact details sit on the contact page. The site itself is run by a retailer, as the about page explains.

How do I get a refund?

Call +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID, then mail the bottles with tracking to 250 Vesey Street, Suite 2600, New York, NY 10281, USA. Include your full name, email and order ID. The buyer pays return shipping, and exact terms are those printed at checkout.

How long does a refund take?

The seller's brief says 3-5 business days after the returned bottles are credited, then 5-10 days for the card issuer to post it. Treat that as the stated process, and confirm it on the call.

What is the SodaSlim phone number?

The order desk line is +1 (302) 200-3480, for tracking, changes and refunds on placed orders. The label lists a separate distributor phone, +1 (507) 448-8190, for product questions.

Can the website email help with my order?

No. The website inbox, [email protected], answers pages, typos, privacy and press, and cannot see orders. Questions about placed orders go to +1 (302) 200-3480 or [email protected].

Who writes and checks the pages?

The SodaSlim label desk writes them. A medical reviewer is not named yet, and we will not claim a doctor review until a real clinician agrees to be listed. See the editorial standards.

How does this site earn money?

From orders placed through our order links. We say so on the about page. It is a conflict of interest, so we quote marketing lines, print no ratings and state that no trial tested the capsule.
