Ingredient review

Soda Slim ingredients review: a verdict on each of the five rows

Quick answer

This Soda Slim ingredients review covers five printed rows: green coffee bean extract, raspberry ketone, garcinia extract, caffeine anhydrous and green tea extract, 658 mg together. Every amount is printed, and nothing is a hidden blend. Studies of single rows show small or unclear differences, often at higher amounts, and no trial tested the capsule.

The five rows

What is in the Soda Slim capsule, row by row?

Five extracts and compounds, each with a printed amount, in a vegetable capsule of hypromellose: four rows at 130 mg and caffeine at 138 mg, 658 mg in all (4 x 130 + 138) (SodaSlim label).

That clarity is a real strength. The label hides nothing behind a proprietary blend and prints "Contains Caffeine." The gaps are elsewhere: no named maker, no tester for the percentages, and no human trial of the five together.

Verdict per row

What did studies use, and what did they find?

For each row, studies used equal or much larger amounts, and the findings were small or unclear. None tested this capsule.

Evidence meter

How strong is the evidence for each row?

Mostly weak. The bars score human evidence for weight, appetite or metabolism from 0 to 4 for each row alone, not for SodaSlim.

  • Green Coffee

    Small and uncertain

Meta-analyses found small average differences of about 1 to 2 kg in short trials of low quality; the label has about 65 mg of chlorogenic acids. (Onakpoya 2011, green coffee review) (Asbaghi 2020, green coffee meta)

  • No human trial of raspberry ketone alone was found; the animal work used very large amounts in feed. (Morimoto 2005, raspberry ketone mice) (Lopez 2013, multi-ingredient raspberry ketone)

  • Garcinia

    Very little

A JAMA trial found no difference from placebo, and a pooled analysis found under 1 kg with an interval touching zero. (Heymsfield 1998, garcinia RCT) (Onakpoya 2011, garcinia meta)

  • Caffeine

    Small and uncertain

A meta-analysis found caffeine 'might promote' weight loss, but results varied widely and the studies were small; the label's 138 mg is about a third of the FDA reference. (FDA, Spilling the Beans caffeine) (EFSA, caffeine safe intakes)

  • Green Tea

    Very little

The Cochrane review found a 0.04 kg difference outside Japan, which it called not likely clinically important. (Jurgens 2012, Cochrane green tea) (EFSA 2018, green tea catechins)

Our plain reading of the research linked on each row, for weight, appetite or metabolism, on a 0 to 4 scale. It rates the ingredient as studied, at the studied amounts. It does not rate SodaSlim: no study has tested the capsule, and its amounts are far smaller.

Caffeine is the row you are most likely to feel, because it is more than a typical cup of brewed coffee. See the caffeine budget.

Overall

Is the Soda Slim formula worth it, going by the ingredients?

The label is clear and the evidence is thin, so the answer rests on your health, your caffeine and your own judgment, not on a study.

Two rows carry liver-injury reports: NIH's LiverTox links garcinia products and green tea extract to acute liver injury (LiverTox, Garcinia cambogia) (LiverTox, green tea). Nothing shows SodaSlim was involved. Dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or belly pain means stop and get care.

Keep your care plan

Keep taking prescribed medicine; chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing: call 911. Ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take any medicine: caffeine and green tea extract can interact with medicines.

FAQ

SodaSlim questions people ask

Does Soda Slim use a proprietary blend?

No. Every row prints its own amount in milligrams, and the Daily Value is marked ** as not established. That makes the panel easy to check, though it does not show who tested the percentages.

Which row has the most evidence behind it?

Green coffee extract, with pooled trials of 15 studies and 897 people showing about 1.23 kg. The trials were small and short, and no link to the chlorogenic acid dose was found. Even so, no trial tested this capsule.

Is the raspberry ketone natural or synthetic?

The label does not say. It also prints no percentage for that row. We found no human trial of the ketone alone, so there is little to compare the 130 mg against.
