What does Soda Slim do? Nobody can say from a trial, because none tested the capsule. The label makes three starred claims about cravings, energy from fat and weight management, and the FDA has not evaluated them. Studies of single ingredients show small differences of about a kilogram or less.

What does Soda Slim do, according to its label?
The label does not say what the capsule does in plain terms. It prints three starred lines under the headline “Metabolic & Appetite Support*”.
The lines are “Supports Craving Control & Satiety*”, “Promotes Energy Production From Fat*” and “Helps Support Healthy Weight Management*”. The star leads to the statement that the FDA has not evaluated them and that the product is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Such wording describes the body's normal structure or function, which a supplement may do with that disclaimer (FDA structure/function claims).
That is why we treat the lines as marketing to test, not as results.

A 1998 trial gave 135 people 1,500 mg of HCA for 12 weeks and found no difference from placebo (Heymsfield 1998, garcinia RCT). The label has about 65 mg, roughly 4% of that dose.

Does SodaSlim control cravings?
We found no trial showing that it does. The line “Supports Craving Control & Satiety*” is a starred claim. Sleep has better support: a review found partial sleep loss raised intake by 385 kcal (Al Khatib 2017, sleep and energy balance).
Can SodaSlim replace a doctor's advice on weight?
